More than 20 km

  •  Guillaume the Conqueror’s castle at Falaise (22.5 km from Boissey)
It was in this castle perched on a rocky headland that Guillaume, Duke of Normandy, conqueror and King of England (Hastings, 1066) was born in 1027. The fifteen-tower walls date to the 13th century.
  •  The CERZA Animal Park at Hermival les Vaux (24 km from Boissey)
This park is not a traditional zoo but a site dedicated to the protection and reproduction of endangered species. On this 50 hectare property over 300 animals (panthers, tigers, lions…) live in the open Pays d’Auge countryside.
  •  The old Municipal Manor/ Museum at Orbec (26 km from Boissey)
A very attractive half-timbered home with a sculptured façade built in 1568. This building houses the town museum which is devoted to local history, arts and traditions.
  •  The Dives sur Mer Marketplace (32 km from Boissey)
Constructed during the 11th century in the characteristic Pays d’Auge half-timbered style, it has conserved its original appearance to the present day.
  •  The Caen Memorial (34.5 km from Boissey)
The only museum in the world offering a historical overview from 1918 to the present, covering the causes and consequences of the Second World War extending up to the post-Cold War period.
  •  Bénouville Castle (35 km from Boissey)
Designed by architect Claude Nicolas Ledoux, this castle is an excellent example of late 18th century neoclassical architecture.
  •  Pegasus Bridge est une autre page d’histoire.
Now dismantled and replaced by a bigger bridge, it can be found near the museum presenting the history of the occupation period and during the Normandy landing.
  •  Saint Samson’s Church at Ouistreham (37 km from Boissey)
Built in 1150, the extent of the decor ( infinitely variable geometric patterns, series of blind arcades..) of its typically Norman façade is remarkable.
  •  Thury Harcourt Castle park and gardens (39 km from Boissey)
Near the castle ruins are 4 km of tree lined paths. A colourful stroll through dazzling flower-beds.
